MSE Audio, the parent company of SoundTube Entertainment, Soundsphere, dARTS, Phase Technology, Induction Dynamics, SolidDrive and Rockustics brands, will be showing its latest developments at CEDIA 2018 in San Diego, California, including the new LA830i two-way columnar line array, from SoundTube Entertainment. MSE Audio will be also launching the industry’s first outdoor smart amplifier, the weatherproof OS-440, and will be demonstrating the latest HV Subwoofers from Phase Technology, now shipping.
MSE Audio started shipping the HV Subwoofers, including the HV101-LP, HV101-II and HV121-II models, from Phase Technology. The HV Subwoofers, which will be showcased at CEDIA 2018, feature versatile audio solutions providing high-performance audio at entry-level pricing. The HV subwoofer line features treated pulp drivers with high-excursion rubber surrounds. Each sub includes on-board DSP smart limiting to monitor and adjust output for dynamic, undistorted bass, along with a gain control, phase switch, variable crossover, L&R inputs and a dedicated LFE input.
The HV101-LP, a “low-profile” subwoofer, boasts a unique design, allowing it to be placed underneath couches, tables and other furniture to hide it within a room. The HV101-LP, along with the entire HV subwoofer line features a 40 – 250 Hz variable crossover with a 24 dB/Octave low pass + LFE and 150 watts of maximum power. Both the HV101-II and HV101-LP retails for $390, while the HV121-II retails for $490.

Indoor Audio with LA830i SoundTube
Also now shipping, the new LA830i, a two-way columnar line array, from SoundTube Entertainment was designed for indoor applications, including theaters, entertainment venues, restaurants and bars, and other mid-size indoor venues, combining aesthetic design with a quality listening experience. The LA830i features eight 3.0” polypropylene subwoofers and eight 1” aluminum dome tweeters. The LA830i is sealed with an MDF enclosure with a plywood rear panel and a powder-coated steel grille. Users can connect simply through a Neutrik SpeakON input jack.
Creating an audio experience with high intelligibility and musicality, the LA830i offers long-throw with a broad, 120-degree horizontal and narrow 45-degree vertical dispersion pattern. In addition, the LA830i can be paired with a 120W transformer and six position tap switch for 25.5V, 70.7V and 100V operation or coupled with the new SoundTube SW10p subwoofer for a line array sub combo providing low-frequency response. The LA830i includes a standard wall bracket and spike, female pole mount insert for simplified installation.

First Outdoor Smart Weatherproof Amplifier
Making its debut at CEDIA 2018 is the new OS-440, a "smart amplifier" which, according to MSE Audio takes outdoor audio to the next level. The OS-440 features IP55 certification and is entirely weatherproof, allowing it to live outside and creating a new, unprecedented level of freedom for outdoor audio design. With on-board Bluetooth and Wi-Fi functionality, the OS-440 can wirelessly connect to an existing network and function as a Google Chromecast device, interface with DLNA servers and provide multi-zone control. In addition, users have the option to hard-wire a source for analog and digital outputs, allowing it to interface with any existing source or system. The OS-440 boasts multi-zone control, as well as voice-controlled audio control by pairing with an Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant-enabled device.
“Creating a hub for an outdoor audio experience, the OS-440 is easily controlled through a sophisticated smart-device app, ideal for any outdoor residential or commercial space,” adds Laura Waldon.
