Luxman Presents Their Lineup of Audiophile Components at the 2018 New York Audio Show

November 7 2018, 00:20
Luxman, the brand famous for their extensive range of top-rated audio components catering to discerning music lovers, will partner with Adirondack Audio& Video, upstate New York’s premiere A/V, custom integration and premium audiophile dealership to showcase a number of Luxman’s latest component audio products at the 2018 New York Audio Show (Room 907). In addition to a number of Luxman components, the room will feature Triangle Acoustics loudspeakers and Melco streaming audio servers.

The main demonstration system is a music lover’s dream come true, centered on the Luxman L-509X integrated amplifier, which truly embodies separate audio component design and performance in a single chassis. Rated at 120 watts per channel into 8 ohms and 240 wpc into 4 ohms, the L-509X is designed to deliver tremendous dynamic headroom into virtually any loudspeaker, regardless of impedance or efficiency.

Source components include Luxman’s PD-171A belt drive turntable, equipped with Ortofon’s Cadenza Blue moving coil cartridge. Luxman will also preview, for the first time in North America, their forthcoming PD-151 belt drive turntable (photo above), which will be available in 1st quarter 2019. The PD-171A will be connected to Luxman’s EQ-500 vacuum tube phono equalizer/pre-amp, while the PD-151 will be connected directly to the L-509X, which features MM and MC phono cartridge gain and impedance settings.

Digital sources include the heralded Luxman D-06u SACD/CD player, with USB 2.8/5.6 DSD and 32-bit/384-kHz PCM USB support, along with the new Melco N100 2TB streaming music library, paired with the Melco D100 Red Book-spec CD player and CD ripper.

Adirondack Audio & Video is based in Queensbury New York. In addition to their upstate Queensbury location, ADKAV presents an exceptional line up of hi-performance audio systems from their newest by-appointment location located in Brooklyn NY.
