Lake People Electronic Expands Production Facilities in Germany

Lake People opened a new production facility in Gauting, Germany. In addition to the company’s headquarters in Constance, a team of experienced specialists will now manufacture Lake People and selected Violectric product series in a new workshop, where Mogami cables for the European market are also produced. Other Violectric models, all Niimbus products and the entire R&D department remains in the original facilities, in fabulous Lake Constance, relatively close to Gauting.

The second facility resulted from the need to expand production in its Constance headquarters to meet rising demand for Lake People, Violectric, Niimbus and Mogami products without compromising quality. While Gauting becomes a new manufacturing site for Lake People, effectively the proximity between the two locations ensures that the company also continues to work as one team.

A second manufacturing team has been supporting the headquarters for some time, and the opening of the new facility makes Gauting an official part of Lake People. The new location includes modern facilities with specialized workstations for the various production steps, and provides an ideal working environment.

At the new location in Gauting a team of experienced specialists manufactures the devices with the same precision, carefully hand-picking all the components and testing the results with the same diligence and rigour. "There was no space for expansion in Constance," explains Lake People electronic CEO Christof Mallmann. "That is why we decided to create a new facility here in Gauting and fully integrate the team that already supported the headquarters anyway."

While the two Lake People locations are separated physically, the new facility in Gauting will now manufacture all Lake People products, assemble the Mogami cables and produce the Violectric 2 series (V202 and V222). The entire rest of the Violectric portfolio, including the high-end brand Niimbus, is still manufactured at Lake Constance. The R&D department also remains in Constance with mastermind Fried Reim at the helm. "This expansion gives us the chance to hone and optimize all steps of the production for even greater focus," states Reim, delighted with the development.

"The people in Constance and Gauting constantly communicate with each other and act as one team. For most processes, the distance between the locations is not relevant," adds Christof Mallmann.

With its brands Lake People, Violectric and Niimbus, Lake People electronic GmbH manufactures headphone amplifiers, converters and audio tools for professional and home audio.
