Klipsch Expands Dolby Atmos Soundbar Lineup With Cinema 1200 and Cinema 800 Systems

Currently celebrating its 75th anniversary, Klipsch introduced a complete lineup of new feature-rich soundbars and home theater systems that are a major upgrade to stand-alone television sound. New from the Indianapolis-based company, the Cinema 1200 and Cinema 800 systems are complete home theater solutions with up-firing drivers that support Dolby Atmos, and feature 8K HDR passthrough and Dolby Vision compatibility.
 

Klipsch has been a leading manufacturer of movie theatre speakers for decades and has applied these principles into its home theatre speakers, and now also to his lineup of soundbars. The new Klipsch Cinema Soundbars are horn-loaded designs crafted from wood that are made to look and sound like the brand’s acclaimed Reference speakers. The designs are true 3.1-channel systems, with a dedicated center channel speaker for augmented vocal clarity, and soft-dome tweeters mated to Tractrix horns. In addition, the soundbars come with large, powerful, class-leading wireless subwoofers and surround speakers to complete the impactful cinematic experience. 

The Klipsch Cinema 1200 Soundbar with Dolby Atmos is a large 54” soundbar system complemented with a best-in-class 12” wireless subwoofer and wireless Dolby Atmos certified surround speakers.  Both the soundbar and the surround speakers feature integrated up-firing elevation speakers, allowing the powerful Cinema 1200 Sound Bar to handle all media and deliver a full 7.1.4 Dolby Atmos mix automatically. The powerful 1200W system able to decode 7.1.4 Dolby Atmos soundtracks and deliver a full 5.1.4 cinematic experience by bringing sound to life from all directions, including overhead, to fill the room with astonishing clarity, detail and depth. 8K HDR passthrough with Dolby Vision compatibility and an included HDMI-eARC connection allows for compatible TVs to transmit Dolby Atmos from built-in apps. 
 

Built-in Bluetooth 5.0 and Wi-Fi works with Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa and Spotify Connect, allowing the soundbar to be added to existing smart home ecosystems for multi-room streaming and control. The Cinema 1200 Soundbar includes two additional HDMI inputs for external devices. It is expected to be available in August 2021 for $1,699.00 USD / €1,499 EUR.

A more compact solution is the 48” Klipsch Cinema 800 Soundbar with Dolby Atmos that comes with a 10” wireless subwoofer for 3.1 immersive sound (decodes 7.1.4 Dolby Atmos). 8K HDR passthrough with Dolby Vision compatibility, and next generation HDMI eARC connectivity means true Dolby Atmos sound and ultra-high-definition video with a single HDMI cable.

The Klipsch Cinema 800 Soundbar may be paired with Klipsch Surround 3 wireless speakers (sold separately in pairs) for 5.1 surround sound. Built-in universal Bluetooth and Wi-Fi works allow support for Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa and Spotify Connect, and allows the soundbar to be added to existing smart home ecosystems for multi-room streaming and control. Includes two additional HDMI inputs for external devices. This solution is also expected to be available in August 2021 for $879.00 USD / €999 EUR.
 

Klipsch also offers the more compact and affordable Cinema 600 Soundbar measuring 45” in length, and packaged with a 10” wireless subwoofer, and the Cinema 400 Soundbar, the smallest in the series at just 40” in length and packaged with an 8” wireless subwoofer. The Cinema 600 is equipped with Wi-Fi, and both models feature Dolby Audio, Bluetooth wireless connectivity, as well as HMDI-ARC to connect to a TV using a single HDMI cable.

The free Klipsch Connect App works with the Klipsch Cinema Soundbars (excluding Cinema 400) and provides product firmware updates, quick setup guide videos, one-tap support, product registration and more. EQ customisation and virtual remote control will be available in August 2021.
