Benjamin Barth has gained a lot of experience in his career that he would like to bring to his new position. He started with an apprenticeship as a watchmaker in Glashütte. After this he completed his studies as an industrial engineer at the University of Applied Sciences Dresden before joining Klippel as an intern eight years ago. He has been a Quality Manager in the company since 2013 and took over the management of R&D projects in 2015. In addition to his previous functions, Benjamin Barth has also been responsible for managing all business processes for the past two years.

With his nomination as general manager in May 2020, Benjamin Barth joins Wolfgang Klippel (president) and Uta Klippel (vice president) in assuming responsibility for the steadily growing company. The expansion of the managing board will enable Dr. Klippel to focus more on research and education as well as advancing the company's strategic product management.
Klippel GmbH was founded in 1997 by Wolfgang Klippel in Dresden and today is a world market leader in providing unique test equipment for electro-acoustical transducers and audio systems. The company currently employs 45 people. Klippel's novel techniques developed for control and measurement systems of loudspeakers and other transducers are the result of over 30 years of fundamental research, providing more accurate physical models of loudspeakers, microspeakers and headphones valid for both small and large amplitudes. The focus is on revealing the root causes of signal distortion and defects and giving practical indications for improvements in design and manufacturing of audio products.
Main Klippel solutions are the Klippel Analyzer System for R&D applications and QC System (End-of-Line Testing). More recently, the company introduced the Klippel Controlled Sound Technology as a new paradigm in active loudspeaker control and correction. The adaptive control structure is based on electro-acoustical modeling and combines real-time monitoring of the transducer parameters with active protection against thermal and mechanical overload, nonlinear distortion cancellation, system alignment and stabilization of the voice coil position.
