August 24 2022, 09:10
The latest JBL Quantum gaming headset was launched at Gamescom 2022. The new JBL Quantum 910 Wireless frees users from wires and restrictions by combining the latest Bluetooth technology with active noise cancellation for the ultimate immersive gaming experience. The company is promoting Dual Spatial Audio abilities, with its JBL QuantumSPHERE 360 and JBL QuantumSPATIAL 360 audio engines with integrated head tracking on a PC and PlayStation via the USB-C wireless connection.

The new JBL Quantum 910 Wireless is a demonstration on how competitive the gaming headset market is and how manufacturers, including Harman, are pulling all the stops to differentiate. This time, JBL is promoting the fact that gamers will be able to experience the best of spatial audio without the need to remain wired.

The JBL Quantum 910 Wireless headset delivers precise, dual spatial, hi-res audio with integrated head tracking to keep users in the center of the action, says the company. The low latency wireless connection means zero lag, and Active Noise Cancelling lets users play without distractions even in the noisiest places. The Quantum 910 Wireless also features up to 43 hours of battery, but users can even charge while they play during marathon sessions using the USB-C cable. There's also a 3.5mm jack output, allowing users to enjoy the headphones for other applications, including listening to music through the 50mm custom hi-res certified dynamic drivers.

"It’s time to gain the upper hand," says JBL. "The JBL Quantum 910 Wireless headset puts you in the center of every game, with the JBL QuantumSPHERE360, JBL QuantumSPATIAL 360 and integrated head tracking. Built-in sensors precisely track the tiniest of head movements for a next level sound placement and immersive in-game audio experience. Hear every footstep and precisely locate enemies as sounds appear in a 3D, 360o space, giving you the competitive edge. Next-gen 360-degree room emulation and JBL Quantum SURROUND replicates the sense of space within virtual worlds more realistically, allowing for full game immersion."

This is the pitch that anticipates the availability of the new JBL Quantum 910 Wireless gaming headset and which is being promoted at Gamescom (August 24-28) in Koln (Cologne), Germany.

"Being truly immersed in a game is the most thrilling part of gaming and audio plays a vital role in this. It is amazing how 3D audio can create an immersive experience, however it is pointless if it is not combined with accuracy. For our JBL Quantum headsets, our proprietary algorithms allow gamers to experience virtual worlds in added dimensions and with pinpoint accuracy, outperforming the most popular surround sound technologies available for gaming headsets today. In the JBL Quantum 910 Wireless, we have used proprietary algorithms and integrated head tracking sensors that enable gamers to detect sounds and movements around them like never before," says Alfredo Fernandez Franco, Senior Director of Immersive Audio, Harman.

Compatible with all lifestyles and platforms, the new JBL Quantum 910 Wireless headset works with a PC, console or mobile device, using a single 2.4 GHz wireless low latency connection. The unique JBL QuantumSPHERE 360 advanced head tracking works only on the PC, while the JBL QuantumSPATIAL 360 engine is compatible with PlayStation or Nintendo Switch. And users will always benefit from wireless freedom provided by Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity and the powerful active noise cancelling design, in combination with a flip-up-to-mute boom microphone that delivers supreme voice clarity for multiplayer games.

The JBL Quantum 910 Wireless will be available from mid-September for a reference price of $249 USD/EUR and includes USB-C and USB Type A adaptor, Bluetooth dongle for PCs,
