In line with the company’s recent philosophy of repackaging its sophisticated algorithms and software tools into easier to use and more affordable versions, iZotope now released Ozone 7 Elements, a new preset-based plug-in based on the original Ozone 7 mastering software. Ozone 7 Elements is an easy-to-use, affordable mastering tool with a simplified interface that delivers high-quality, professional results and still provides users the control and processing power needed.

Mastering is a critically important step in music production, but many musicians feel intimidated by the complexity of the process. Ozone 7 Elements simplifies the process of mastering through an easily approachable user interface. Under the hood, powerful audio processors give users access to the same technology found within iZotope's flagship mastering software, Ozone 7. With professionally crafted presets and simple goal-oriented macro controls, Ozone 7 Elements enables users to achieve a full, rich, and loud final master.

The Boston-based audio software specialist has created this entry level version of its award winning mastering software, using Ozone 7´s renowned processing and enabling a broader user community to achieve better results, starting with professionally-crafted presets - including some from mastering legend Greg Calbi (Tame Impala, Norah Jones, Bob Dylan) - and simple macro controls. The user starts by selecting a preset from Genre-Specific, All-Purpose, or Artist Signature presets.

Next, the user is able to edit the track to its own taste using EQ and Dynamics amount sliders. The sliders allow a level of personalization always relating to the chosen presets. Next, the user is able to bring the track up to a competitive level using Ozone´s legendary Maximizer. This is the step that allows a track to sound louder without clipping or sacrificing clarity or punch, and ensuring it still maintains sufficient headroom for streaming and MP3/AAC encoding. The whole process was designed to reduce the complexity of mastering, while enabling a polished, streaming-ready sound to every track.

“At iZotope, we want to make audio production accessible to all musicians, at every level of skill and experience,” says Gerry Caron, Chief Product Officer at iZotope. “With Ozone 7 Elements, we’re making that possible for newcomers. By providing a more affordable, easy-to-use approach that lets you stay hands-on, we hope to help everyone feel more excited about their final master.”

Ozone 7 Elements is now available for the introductory price of $99 USD (€95 Euros) until December 31, 2016. After December 31, Ozone 7 elements will be available for $129 USD (€125 EUR).
