IsoAcoustics Releases zaZen Isolation Platform for Turntables and Hi-Fi Components

Canadian decoupling and isolation solution experts IsoAcoustics continue to expand its range of products for high end home audio. The company now added the zaZen I and II isolation platforms, a more affordable solution designed to isolate turntables, tube amps, and other sensitive audio equipment from any interference caused by vibrations and resonances. The name zaZen is from Zen Buddhism and refers to sitting in peaceful meditation.

Previously, IsoAcoustics launched the more expensive DELOS Series of isolation wood blocks, which also complemented its existing OREA Isolator series, already applied by users and manufacturers to isolate turntables and audio components. The new zaZen models feature an elegant medium-gloss black finish over a dense fiber construction to provide the ideal combination of visual and acoustic design. IsoAcoustics' patented isolation technology is integrated into the zaZen with their industry-leading isolators recessed in the platform’s bottom corners.

Combining the mass from the dense platform with the IsoAcoustics isolators creates a high degree of isolation, allowing turntables and electronic components to perform at their absolute best. The zaZen is available in 2 models. The zaZen I platform ($199.99) has a weight capacity of up to 25 lbs and works well with lightweight hi-fi components and turntables. The zaZen II ($229.99) works best with heavier equipment weighing up to 40 lbs. Both models are 17" Wide x 15" Depth (432mm x 381mm). The zaZen I is  1.2" (30mm) in height and the zaZen II is slightly taller at 1.4" (34mm).

"After the success of our DELOS platforms, we wanted to make a smaller platform designed for lighter turntables and hi-fi components," says IsoAcoustics’ founder Dave Morrison. "We are excited for the release of zaZen because we have been extremely happy with how it performs. It’s affordable and very effective. We can’t wait for people to try it for themselves."
The IsoAcoustics zaZen will be available September 30, 2020.
