Registration is now open for the upcoming Electroacoustic Virtual Conference, an event promoted by Hottinger Bruel & Kjaer (HBK), which this year will be fully online and offers an exciting two-day program. The Electroacoustic Conference will offer presentations from experts in all areas related with sound, noise, acoustics and vibration, with more than 21 presentations already scheduled. Sessions include presentations from companies such as Head-Fi, XMEMS Micro Speakers, Comsol, Embody VR, Vibrations Inc., Harman International and more.

The annual event promoted by Hottinger Bruel & Kjaer (HBK) is a valuable opportunity for the audioXpress audience. For those not yet familiar, HBK is the new designation for the former Danish company Bruel & Kjaer since the merger with a British and a German company, also active in test and measurement but more oriented towards industrial applications. What did not change is this annual tradition of promoting a conference focused on Electroacoustics, which this year takes place online - September 28 and 29, 2021 - allowing audio and telecom specialists to boost their knowledge.

As expectations around high-quality audio in media playback and communications have steadily increased over the years, brands must compete to impress with improved dynamic range, frequency range, and audio clarity in their latest products. That need has accelerated in the current global climate where remote communication and virtual events have become the norm, and consumers clamor for the realism and intimacy they lack from face-to-face communication and live events.

HBK’s Electroacoustics Conference will offer presentations highlighting the work that has been done by the company to develop new tools, products, methods, and metrics to help develop and evaluate future products, including challenges that require innovative techniques and concepts to resolve complex problems.

“Over the last couple of years, we have all been facing new challenges giving rise to some new global trends in the market for audio products. In the keynote presentation, we will address some of these latest trends, how they relate to audio products as well as how they affect both the market and what can be done to ensure continued development and supply,” says Erik Ziegler, HBK’s Telecom Audio and PC Business Development Manager.

The virtual conference will be held over the course of two days, with two tracks each day from 9:00 M to 2:00 PM PDT to allow participation from all time zones in North America. On September 28, Track 1 will focus on Physics, and Human Perception and Track 2 will cover Acoustic Simulation, Programming of Electroacoustic Applications, and Test Services. On September 29, Track 3 will present topics on Electroacoustic Applications and Track 4 will cover Ear Simulators, Head and Torso Simulator (HATS) Technologies, and Non-Contact Transducers.

The conference is open to all. Registration is now available. Visit this page to learn more and sign-up.
