
Optimizing production line testing for minimal downtime and cost efficiency is just the start for the new GRAS 40PO-L and 40PO-H EQset microphones. The two new microphones enable precise measurements up to ultrasonic frequencies, meeting the needs of new consumer electronic devices and improving product consistency and adherence to both industry standards and customer-specific requirements.
GRAS' EQset technology helps manufacturers to achieve high quality and test regime compliance to build trust with audio brands and grow business. Each EQset microphone has the same fixed sensitivity and flat frequency response across all frequencies, making it insensitive to environmental factors and providing consistent results across different locations. The technology also reduces errors and simplifies calibration processes to ensure compliance or product specifications. Additionally, using GRAS EQset microphones allow for seamlessly replacement without signal chain adjustments, ensuring production lines run smoothly and on schedule with no downtime.
While the new GRAS 40PO-L microphone is designed for low sound pressure level measurements, the GRAS 40PO-H microphone can be used for measuring higher sound pressure levels. Specifically, the dynamic range of GRAS 40PO-L goes from 30dBA and up to 128dBpk, while the GRAS 40PO-H ranges from 36dBA to 138dBpk. The two new microphones are also TEDs compliant which is a first in EQset microphones.

The ultrasonic capabilities of these new microphones make them great for Hi-Res audio testing, harmonic and intermodulation distortion tests, and high-frequency drivers. They can also test ultrasonic noise interference measurements, and smart device ultrasonic applications such as presence, motion, and distance detection.
