Fulcrum Acoustic continues to create new innovative loudspeakers at an impressive pace. Now, the Massachusetts-based manufacturers has released the DF4 Dual High-Frequency Horn, a spot fill loudspeaker aimed at supplemental high frequency coverage for areas shaded by obstructions. Dual four inch diaphragm high frequency compression drivers provide substantial output suitable for mid- to long-throw applications. And the new DF443 is particularly effective in applications where supplemental HF coverage may be required due to occlusion from the primary loudspeakers by venue obstructions.
Founded in 2008, Fulcrum Acoustic is a professional loudspeaker manufacturer known for its unique approach to loudspeaker design. Employing the research of company co-founder David Gunness, Fulcrum Acoustic combines proprietary coaxial design and Temporal Equalization processing power to create a powerful and versatile line of loudspeakers for sound reinforcement.
The new Fulcrum DF4 Series dual high-frequency loudspeakers provide high output and precise pattern control for applications where spot-fill of high frequencies is required. The dual four inch diaphragm high-frequency compression drivers are capable of delivering very high output for long-throw applications. Fulcrum Acoustic's proprietary TQ processing improves the sonic character, guaranteeing clarity and precise transient response even at very high SPL. The required digital signal processing can be provided by one of many supported platforms.
This high output, high fidelity spot-fill loudspeaker is currently available in two models; the DF443 (45° x 30°) and the DF463 (60° x 30°). The DF443 is a high-output, dual high-frequency horn providing a precise 45° x 30° pattern for applications where spot-fill of high frequencies is required. The speaker is equipped with dual 4" transducers with titanium diaphragms, and neodymium magnet compression drivers that provide substantial output suitable for mid- to longthrow applications. Power handling (AES) is rated for 40V (400W @ 4Ω) with a nominal sensitivity of 117dB @ 2.00V. Nominal maximum SPL is rated at 149dB/143dB (peak/continuous).
