Edifier Announces NeoDots Hybrid True Wireless Earbuds with Advanced ANC

October 15 2024, 00:35
Edifier International announced the NeoDots True Wireless earbuds featuring a hybrid driver design combined with advanced active noise cancellation up to -48dB, and all the premium features expected from a flagship Bluetooth 5.4 product in the category. Combining a balanced armature and 10mm dynamic drivers, digital signal processing, and an active crossover, the new Edifier NeoDots deliver superior sound reproduction, being Hi-Res Wireless Audio Certified with support for LDAC.

Edifier is not an immediate name that comes to mind when considering top contenders in the true wireless earbuds category, particularly when it comes to advanced ANC, but the company has fully delivered with the new NeoDots True Wireless earbuds.

The combination of dynamic drivers and balanced armature drivers allows for a broad frequency response, where dynamic drivers effectively manage low frequencies, delivering deep and rich bass, whilst the balanced armature drivers handle mid and high frequencies ensuring clear and detailed treble. This synergy results in a well-rounded sound profile that enhances the listening experience across different music genres and audio content.

The digital signal processor capabilities are also used to enhance the response by optimizing balance and clarity, while the active crossover efficiently divides the audio signal into distinct frequency bands for the 10mm dynamic drivers and mid/high frequencies to the Knowles balanced armature driver. This dual-driver hybrid arrangement is a winning combination that serves for Edifier to create a foundation for a very complete product.

Not only users will experience superior audio performance, but the hybrid drivers and advanced DSP are an optimized combination to support the LDAC codec - with Hi-Res Audio Wireless certification - apart from AAC. The advanced noise cancelling technology enhances the listening experience even more by extending the depth of noise cancellation to -48dB thus minimizing unwanted ambient sounds. And with multiple noise cancellation modes available, users can easily adapt to different scenarios, ensuring optimal audio clarity whether in a busy, noisy city, or a quiet home environment. There’s also an 80ms low latency audio gaming mode.

Equally impressive given the sophistication of the platform is the fact that users will enjoy up to 17 hours of playtime on a single charge, with an impressive total of 56 hours when utilizing the charging case (USB-C and Qi Wireless). A quick 15-minute charge provides an additional 5 hours of use.

Thanks to the powerful platform, Edifier was also able to explore loading AI algorithms to enhance the performance by focusing on specific sound sources, like a user's voice, while filtering out background noise. This results in clearer and more accurate audio during hands-free calls, ensuring that conversations are easily intelligible even in noisy environments.

Bluetooth 5.4 enhances seamless audio streaming with a stable connection and multipoint connection enables users to effortlessly switch between music, videos and calls on two devices simultaneously, making it convenient for multitasking and enhancing the overall user experience.

The actual design of the earbuds is also distinctive, featuring press controls to avoid accidental touch and wearing detection allowing the earbuds to pause the music when taken off and resume playback when put on. With an IP55 rating, users can enjoy music and calls without worrying about sweat or dust damage, ensuring reliability in various conditions. Compatible with the Edifier ConneX app, the NeoDots True Wireless earbuds also support personalized control settings, EQ customization, and more features.

Even with all these impressive features and specifications, Edifier manages to offer the NeoDots for $129.99 on Amazon.com. Considering that Edifier is a legitimate manufacturer and brand specialized in premium audio solutions that showcase technological innovation, this makes the NeoDots earbuds a strong contender for users not interested in paying two or three times more for products from established brands.

Founded in 1996 and headquartered in Beijing, China, Edifier is a company that is also investing in its global presence. Recently Edifier announced the opening of a pop-up showroom in New York, where it will showcase its recent products, including the latest Spirit S10 and STAX product range
