The popularity of acoustic cameras has exploded over the past three years, as applicability also increased with portable models. Evolving from large models used mainly in research, acoustic cameras are now compact and portable enough to become practical in daily inspection operations. Crysound, the largest audio test and measurement company from China, has now introduced the CRY8120 Series Acoustic Imaging Cameras, a breakthrough in industrial capabilities, also combining a thermal module.
Cutting-edge acoustic cameras are revolutionizing applications such as the detection of gas leaks, partial discharges (PD), and mechanical deterioration with unmatched speed and precision. The new Crysound 8120 Series Acoustic Imaging Camera is able to detect gas leaks and partial discharges, with accuracy thanks to its 200 MEMS microphones and infrared module, integrated in a compact, portable design. It is able to detect leaks and mechanical noises over 10 times faster than traditional methods, ensuring equipment integrity and safety.
The Crysound CRY8120 acoustic imaging cameras impresses with its technical specifications, which apart from featuring 200 microphones, it's able to achieve 100kHz bandwidth, and features built-in enhanced computing power in order to meet the most demanding applications. The camera can pinpoint even the smallest and most distant leaks with exceptional precision at an extended test distance of up to 200 meters. Additionally, its real-time PRPD chart display aids in identifying electrical discharge types, allowing for proactive maintenance decisions to enhance operational efficiency and prevent problems.
The CRY8120 Series camera also supports infrared modules, offering simultaneous thermal and acoustic imaging displays. This makes it a complete system, that will easily find a range of additional applications, including nighttime drone detection.
Despite its powerful capabilities, the CRY8120 Series weighs only 1.4 kg, making it highly portable. Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity enable wireless data transmission and quick report export, also ideal for various application settings. The camera features an 8-inch display with 1920x1200 resolution and 13 million pixels, providing a clear view even in bright sunlight. The 6x digital zoom and 600 nits display brightness enhance the user experience.
With a battery life of up to 5 hours and the option for an additional battery, the CRY8120 Series camera can handle extended inspection sessions, ensuring uninterrupted operation. Crysound also supplies accompanying report software that allows real-time report preview and editing. This software streamlines industrial inspections by enabling real-time report editing and data import via Wi-Fi. It supports both acoustic and thermal data analysis, allowing for offline adjustments and presenting multidimensional views of equipment health status and on-site inspection results.
The Crysound CRY8120 series Acoustic Imaging Camera supports the integration of the thermal imaging camera module via a USB Type-C port, making it possible to support future additional features and modules in the future. To monitor both the acoustic camera and thermal camera simultaneously, the CRY8120 camera features a split-screen display function, allowing the user to view real-time results from both cameras. Apart from suspension discharge, the Infrared Imager can also capture other faults such as overheating due to overload and large current load.
The brand Crysound and "CRY" comes from the initials of te company's founder Cao RuiYing, which originally launched the CRY6125 electroacoustic tester in 1997. The company evolved to become a complete provide of professional acoustic solutions for the most complicated acoustic testing challenges, now sold in more than 50 countries worldwide.
