Creative Sensemore Air True Wireless Earbuds Focus on Hearing More

December 13 2022, 01:10
Unlike other products that feature active noise cancellation, the new Creative Sensemore Air true wireless earbuds are promoted for allowing users to hear more of their surroundings than ever before, without compromising on audio quality. The lightweight and sweatproof Sensemore Air earbuds debut Creative Technology's newest innovation, the built-in Sensemore technology which serves as a hearing amplifier.
The new Creative Sensemore Air true wireless earbuds are the latest high-performance design in this highly competitive segment to be unveiled by Creative Technology. Featuring the new Sensemore technology the earbuds help users to address the annoying inconvenience associated with in-ear designs that block out much of the aural environment. This leads users to remove their earbuds in various everyday situations, for example when starting a conversation. Creative Technology decided to address this problem as a priority for its latest design.

Creative designed the built-in Sensemore hearing amplifier that helps boost surrounding sound, helping to amplify the water drips in a silent environment, or a chat in a noisy room. Equipped with 4 microphones in total: two for background noise filtering in ANC mode plus two for effective voice pick-up during calls, the earbuds are also able to capture the sorrounding environments.

The main goal of Sensemore is to allow users to hear the outside world loud and clear! Users are given full control on the level of environmental sounds they want to hear with Sensemore Mode, which is 5 times more sensitive than the typical Ambient Mode, and processes speech, and other environmental elements with higher clarity. As a bonus, although not intended for that purpose, when set to a higher intensity, Sensemore could even benefit users with mild hearing deficiencies.

In contrast, the Ambient Mode can be used when users would like to hear their music well while still being aware of the environment, for example while jogging along a busy street. Conversely, to shut the world out so as to fully immerse in the music, users can rely on the Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) Mode. The intensity of all 3 modes is fully adjustable through the Creative app. Together with up to 8 to 10 hours of total playtime depending on what mode is active, these IPX5-certified, Bluetooth 5.2 earbuds are an affordable all day companion.

Featuring a pocket-friendly charging case which is much smaller than the rest of Creative’s true wireless lineup, the Creative Sensemore Air earbuds are very portable, and offer 35 hours of use in total with the charging case. Adding to the convenience factor, users get up to 2 hours of battery life with just 10 minutes of charging, and the charging case can be juiced back up with Qi-compatible wireless charging pads.

The sound-quality was also not forgotten. Powered by high-performance 6mm bio-cellulose drivers and expertly tuned, the Creative Sensemore Air earbuds will easily beat the crowd of cheap clones in the market. And users also have an equalizer tuning and preset profiles conveniently available via the Creative app. Both earbuds are also fitted with touch control buttons, which can be customized for various functions via the app.

And another unique feature offered by Creative, is the fact that these earbuds are also certified SXFI READY, so that users get to preview Super X-Fi Spatial Holography, which recreates the soundstage of a premium multi-speaker system, on local content and on new devices that are SXFI READY. Launched in 2018, Super X-Fi technology uses computational audio to compute a custom audio profile based on a person's unique anthropometry. The technology received multiple accolades worldwide, including an unprecedented 23 awards at CES 2019-2020.

These Sensemore Air earbuds are targeted at the mass market and priced aggressively at US $79.99. As Sim Wong Hoo, CEO of Creative Technology explains, "For users considering wearables in the hearing-aid market; while Sensemore Air may not be suitable for all of them, I believe it could benefit the majority of those with early-stage hearing deficiency. It would easily save them thousands of dollars."
