Pantheone Audio, a new Australian design firm that focuses on creating beautifully designed pieces of art and décor that also serve as state-of-the-art sound systems, launched its first product in the United States, Pantheone I. Created by international designers and engineers, Pantheone I is the largest multi-room, Alexa-enabled sound system that is built into a minimalistic, handmade resin sculpture that seamlessly fits into home interior designs.
Pantheone Audio was founded by luxury consumer electronics veteran Oren Adani, who developed a team of internationally renowned designers, creative directors and engineers. The team includes Anne-Claire Bottos, Pantheone Audio Creative Director, who has experience working with prominent brands including LVMH, Cartier, Yves Saint Laurent, Jean-Paul Gautier and Givenchy. Their first product, Pantheone I took four years of development and was designed to be enjoyed by those who share a passion for minimalist aesthetic that is both functional and appealing.
Inspired by the Pantheon in Rome, where the oculus allows light to flood into the temple, the Pantheone Audio team has been developing the company’s premiere design to mirror this motivation by filling each space with a timeless, curved silhouette and perfect acoustics.
“Our team at Pantheone Audio is moved by beautiful, handcrafted designs that complement their surroundings. We created Pantheone I to achieve this by developing a speaker system that can fill a room with clear sound, without taking away from the space’s aesthetic,” says Adani, CEO of Pantheone Audio. "There is no other product like Pantheone I. Instead of looking like a traditional sound system or speaker that clashes with other home décor, Pantheone I combines art with music by boasting minimalist, sleek design that can fit into any space while still providing quality sound.”
Winner of a prestigious 2020 Red Dot design award, the symmetrical, sleek design of the Pantheone I was created to complement other home art, sculptures and furniture. Available in black or white, the resin speaker housing is created from a single mold, then hand polished to ensure nothing distracts from its curves. It has a minimalist aesthetic that looks stunning on the floor as a centerpiece of a modern home, amplifying and blending in with the colors of the furniture standing next to it.
Built into the Pantheone I is a powerful audio system that streams high-resolution audio (up to 24-bit/192kHz), reinforced by two powerful 6,5" high excursion woofers, two 4" mid-range drivers and four silk-dome tweeters, allowing 360-degree stereo sound to fill any room. Drivers are powered by class D amps with dedicated DSP, with 2x 70W for midranges and tweeters, and 2× 130W for subwoofers. Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n 2.4GHz, Bluetooth, one analog Aux input (minijack) and Ethernet 10/100M RJ45 network.
The Pantheone app (iOS and Android) allows users to control the system through their phones or tablets and supports features such as sleep mode and multi-room player, allowing up to eight Pantheone I devices to be paired. Its Alexa integration also lets users manage the system and their smart home automation integrations through voice commands, as well as easily access streaming services. Supported services include Spotify Connect, Amazon Music, Airplay, Tidal, and TuneIn. The system is able to support sources via DLNA, and supports Monkey's Audio APE, FLAC, WAV, Apple Lossless Audio format (ALAC), AAC, AAC-LC, HE-AAC, HE-AACv2, and MP3 file formats.
The Pantheone I speaker is available now in the United States for $2,190.
