Audinate Announces Dante Via and Dante Virtual Soundcard Bundle

Audinate, the creators of industry-leading audio networking technology Dante, announced the immediate worldwide availability of the Dante Software “Combo Pack”, combining licenses for Dante Via and Dante Virtual Soundcard. For only $59.95, Audinate will now provide the ultimate in flexibility for computer-based audio networking with a bundle that represents a 25% savings over purchasing the software separately.

Audinate’s Dante audio-over-IP networking solution is used extensively in the professional live sound, commercial installation, broadcast, public address, and recording industries. Dante replaces traditional analogue audio cables by transmitting perfectly synchronized audio signals across large distances, to multiple locations at once, using nothing more than an Ethernet cable.

The Dante Software Combo Pack allows users to record up to 64 channels of audio using their favorite tools with Dante Virtual Soundcard; to share audio from applications and USB devices with Dante Via; and to create computer-only audio networks, or connect to any Dante system. Works on Windows and Macintosh computers and supports 16, 24 and 32-bit audio at 44.1 to 192kHz sampling frequencies.

Dante Via connects all existing computer-based audio components, including USB, Thunderbolt and PCIe devices as well as audio applications, to any Dante audio network. Audio applications, connected devices and Dante network endpoints are automatically discovered and displayed in an intuitive drag-and-drop interface. Dante Via supports up to 16x16 channels of audio for each application and up to 32x32 for each connected device. Dante Via supports Core Audio integration on MacOS computers and requires ASIO or WDM drivers on Windows.

With Dante Via, users are able to choose only the applications they wish to connect to the Dante network, and send audio from different applications to different locations at once. Users can also connect local headphones or speakers directly to a Dante network, to monitor Dante devices and channels from anywhere on the system with no need for dedicated hardware. Connecting computers running Dante Via together allows creating an instant Dante audio network, for cost-effective real-time sharing of microphones, interfaces and applications.

Dante Virtual Soundcard turns any computer into a high performance Dante-powered recording workstation. Users can instantly connect to record, process and play out up to 64x64 channels using any audio application and any combination of Dante-enabled devices and software. Dante Virtual Soundcard also allows any application like iTunes, to be used for background music, theater sound, and effects, sending audio from VoIP calls like Skype to an external audio system and using any DAW system for virtual sound checks, with up to 64 channels of playout. Like Dante Via, Dante Virtual Soundcard uses the Ethernet port already existing in the computer — no snakes, no converters, or special cables or connectors needed.

“The Dante Software Combo Pack offers a great value for two industry-leading software applications,” says Joshua Rush, VP of Marketing & Product for Audinate. “Dante Via and Dante Virtual Soundcard both provide unprecedented routing of computer-based audio devices and applications.”
