Audfly Technology Showcases F1 Glass Directional Speaker at CES 2024

January 15 2024, 00:35
Audfly Technology presented an innovative range of see-thru glass directional speakers at CES 2024. The company, which specializes in directional acoustic technology, says that its F1 glass speakers also employ sophisticated directional sound technology to precisely project stereo audio to a specific area, ensuring an outstanding listening experience without causing disruption to nearby individuals.

Audfly is a company based in the Suzhou Hi-Tech Zone, in China, which has designed and manufactures multiples types of directional acoustic technologies. Since 2015, Audfly produces various models of directional sound speaker systems suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, always exhibiting strong directivity and effectively controlling the propagation of sound within the target area. Some of those are ultrasonic parametric speakers, very similar to the transducers used by Noveto in its N1 speaker

The product presented at CES 2024, the F1 Glass Directional Speaker, is a different type of solution for nearfield applications, providing users with an isolated and private sound area. For that the F1 panels are said to also employ advanced directional sound technology, while its transparent glass design seamlessly combines aesthetics with audio reproduction. Independently of the technology, these directional speakers tend to be very limited in frequency range but good at voice and speech clarity, which makes them useful at close range since they also have very limited SPL levels.

"Our team has dedicated years to crafting a device that seamlessly marries technology and design. We believe the F1 will redefine how individuals engage with audio, offering a new dimension to the sonic experience," says Li, CEO of Audfly Technology.

The F1 speakers were previously promoted on Kickstarter as the Focusound transparent design speaker, where the company tested the technology (with mixed reactions from backers). Beyond the F1, Audfly Technology showcased other directional technology applications and prototype iterations at CES 2024, providing visitors with even more novel experiences.
