Ampetronic and Listen Technologies Partner in Assistive Listening and Wireless Audio Distribution

November 1 2023, 09:10
Now owned by Swedish conglomerate Allvida, Listen Technologies and Ampetronic have partnered to create a single, global source of the broadest range of audio solutions to help people hear clearly in challenging listening environments. Beginning January 1, 2024, Utah-based Listen Technologies will be the exclusive representative for Ampetronic hearing loop systems in North America, and the British company will represent Listen Technologies solutions in the UK.

Listen Technologies Corporation is a leading provider of advanced wireless listening solutions, and Ampetronic, is a leading supplier of audio induction loop systems, with a range of market complementary products and solutions that help people access clear audio. Together, the two companies will provide the broadest range of solutions globally to help people hear clearly in challenging listening environments. Both companies are strongly committed to investing in innovation, and through this partnership will collaborate to bring many new technology solutions to market.

Listen Technologies and Ampetronic are already part of Allvida, a Swedish company, operating on a global scale through its independent subsidiaries. Swedish investment firm Systematic Growth formed the rapidly growing group of companies in 2020 to build leading brands in accessibility. In the past, Listen Technologies partnered with Ampetronic to supply its hearing loop amplifiers and solutions.

Allvida has acquired Ampetronic Limited based in the United Kingdom in November of 2020. Ampetronic has driven innovation and standards for audio induction loops in the 36 years since its inception. Ampetronic was the foundation for Allvida’s commitment in its first "Hearing" vertical portfolio. In February 2023, Allvida acquired Listen Technologies Corporation, based in Bluffdale, Utah. Listen is a leading developer of assistive listening products and allowed Allvida to become a leading player in the market, with its technologies that combine induction loop, RF, IR, and audio over Wi-Fi.

Ampetronic's Hearing Loop delivers sound directly to a user's telecoil-equiped hearing aid or cochlear implant, creating a personalized listening experience without having to use a venue provided receiver. Listen Technologies has earned many industry awards for its infrared, radio frequency, portable, and audio over Wi-Fi based systems that support assistive listening, interpretation, and tours in various venues and settings, including houses of worship, higher education facilities, performing arts centers, courtrooms, tours, and manufacturing plants.

The partnership between the two companies under the Allvida umbrella, expands their respective portfolios with complementary technologies and systems that support their shared objective to make clear audio accessible. Each will offer a complete suite of solutions to meet the unique needs of their customers.

"Listen Technologies and Ampetronic share a passion for providing better audio experiences for individuals and venues," says Maile Keone, president and CEO of Listen Technologies (pictured above). "Beginning January 1, 2024, we will be the exclusive Ampetronic distributor in North America. Additionally, we will use our combined expertise to continue to serve our customers, create exceptional products, and establish even higher benchmarks of excellence."

"We are excited to be part of the Allvida group, helping us create this close partnership with Listen Technologies. With Ampetronic representing Listen Technologies products in the UK, and Listen representing our products in North America, both companies can offer an unrivaled set of solutions for our markets," adds Julian Pieters, CEO of Ampetronic (pictured above). "Even more exciting is what the future will bring – between us, we will create a new roadmap for innovative products, delivering solutions to transform the way individuals benefit from accessible audio."
