1MORE Introduces SonoFlow Bluetooth ANC Headphones

September 19 2022, 00:35
The new 1MORE SonoFlow ANC headphones enter a competitive market segment with a product positioned at the top of the scale but at an entry-level price. Not only the SonoFlow headphones feature hybrid active noise cancellation, they also support LDAC for High-Resolution Wireless Audio over Bluetooth 5 to match the fast-response of the ultra-low mass carbon-coated 40mm diaphragms. Plus, the SonoFlow last for 70-hours and offer the ability to fast charge the headphones in 5-minutes to gain 5-hours of continuous playback via USB-C.

This is undoubtedly a set of features that is worthy of a product costing over $200 USD, but this is a product from 1MORE, the Chinese company that uniquely competes with the top global consumer brands and is not just another clone-maker. The 1MORE SonoFlow Bluetooth ANC headphones are intended to be the new price-leader at the top of the market, retailing for just $99.99 MSRP. Design wise, 1MORE didn't try very hard and the SonoFlow headphones take notes and hints directly from the reference ANC headphones from the leading brands. They look similar enough to be familiar without looking like a cheap clone. No design award for this one.

The SonoFlow are also 1MORE's first Bluetooth Over-ear ANC headphones as the company looks to capitalize on the market trends, short after releasing the surprising ComfoBuds Mini true wireless earbuds also with ANC, featuring an original design and a unique set of features. 1MORE targets directly those users who care about quality of the music reproduction and are not happy with standard Bluetooth codecs. That is why the SonoFlow are promoted essentially for being headphones for High-Resolution Audio, supporting the superior LDAC codec, and being able also to work in wired mode when desired, using the included 3.5mm cable. The LDAC codec can transmit approximately three times more audio data from compatible sources than the conventional Bluetooth audio SBC codec.

All these features are a perfect match for the reproduction qualities of 1MORE's large 40mm dynamic drivers, an area where the company excels. These feature both a diamond-like carbon composite diaphragm and a soft but thin polyethylene terephthalate film that reduces the distortion caused by the powerful driver at lower frequencies. The combination enables the 1MORE SonoFlow headphones to produce to cover an ultra-wide frequency response range well above 20kHz in order to translate HRA music sources, as confirmed by the High-Resolution Audio and High-Resolution Audio Wireless certifications.

Additionally, there’s the class-leading ultra-long playtime of 70 hours (50 hours with ANC on) offered by the SonoFlow and the ability to fast charge the headphones in 5-minutes to gain 5-hours of continuous playback. And besides the ability to deliver superior hybrid ANC, the SonoFlow headphones also offer Intelligent Noise Cancellation with 5 ENC microphones for calls, multipoint connectivity, as well as 12 equalization presets for sound personalization.

1MORE also says that its SonoFlow headphones don't use just the average market-standard ANC, featuring its own patented QuietMax Active Noise Cancelling technology instead. This is powered by trained AI models that run on its own chipset, complemented by a unique acoustic design to generate an opposite signal to cancel out the surrounding noise. And the experience is further improved by the soft protein leather earcups that perfectly cushion the user's ears and provide additional passive isolation. The padded adjustable headband and 250g ultra-light weight also make the SonoFlow comfortable for long flights and listening sessions.

1MORE’s same intelligent QuietMax noise cancellation suite also provides a Transparency Mode when there's the need to reconnect to the outside world. And making calls benefits from a dedicated noise-reduction AI algorithm and no less than 5 ENC microphones that help the SonoFlow to precisely extract voices and amplify it to the user on the other line, all while suppressing the ambient noise surrounding the wearer, even on a windy day.

The SonoFlow headphones feature a foldable design and come with a compact carrying case for easy travel and storage and are available now for US $99.99 with a launch discount bringing the price down further to just $79.99.
