WiSA Announces Certification of Axiim Link WiSA USB Transmitter

The Axiim Link plugs into any WiSA Ready audio source including TVs, gaming systems and PCs and allows them to easily connect to any speakers certified by the WiSA Association. SoundChip Introduces Soundstation Array for Hybrid Noise Cancelling Headphone Development
SoundChip introduced Soundstation Array, a spatially-limited diffuse sound field measurement platform designed to help brands characterize and tune hybrid noise cancelling headphones. Sam Berkow’s SIA Acoustics Joins RDA Consulting Engineers
SIA Acoustics has been acquired by NYC-based engineering firm Robert Derector Associates Consulting Engineers. The acoustical design and consulting company, winner of multiple awards is now part of a larger engineering group, increasing resources and the services offered by RDA’s engineering practice. "As part of RDA, the SIA Acoustics team will strive to maintain the high level of attention, expertise, and constructive engagement that both SIA and RDA have always worked to achieve," the announcement states.

AIMS Members Lead AoIP Interoperability Demonstrations on New Audio-Over-IP Technology Pavilion at AES New York 2018
The Alliance for IP Media Solutions (AIMS) will join forces with the Audio Engineering Society (AES) to host the first Audio-Over-IP Technology (AoIP) Pavilion at AES New York 2018, co-located with the 2018 NAB Show New York at the Jacob K. Javits Center in New York City, Oct. 17-19. The AoIP Pavilion will consist of six demo pods, an AIMS demonstration area, and a Pavilion Theater, all of which will highlight the latest in AoIP technology and compatibility, including AES67 and associated technologies as they relate to SMPTE ST 2110.

Pioneer Announces Roll-Out of MQA Support for Home Audio Products
Starting October 2018, certain Pioneer branded home audio products will receive a free firmware update enabling playback of MQA-encoded material. With support for both streaming audio, local file, and whole home audio, the Pioneer N-70AE and N-50AE family of network audio players can be used as the hub for all high quality audio pursuits. The NC-50 and NC-50 DAB are network audio players with a built-in CD player and stereo amplifier. MQA is working closely with Onkyo and Pioneer to bring playback support on more home audio products in the coming months.

ZVOX Announces VoiceBud VB20 Full-Featured Over-the-Counter Voice-Enhancing Hearing Device

DirectOut Promotes Flexible Audio Network and Interconnectivity Solutions at AES NY
Following a successful premier at IBC2018 in Amsterdam, German audio network and interconnectivity specialist DirectOut Technologies will showcase the first member of its new flagship interface series at AES New York and NAB NY (October 17–19).
