Digital Audio Denmark Introduces AX Center ThunderCore Audio Interface

DAD just announced a new Thunderbolt 3 audio interface for studios, location recording setups or touring rigs. The new AX Center is a dedicated Thunderbolt modular audio interface with dual microphone and instrument inputs, dual headphones and monitors outputs, built-in PRO|MON monitor control with speaker EQ, and two slots for DAD expansion cards. It comes with 256 channels via Thunderbolt, 256 Dante I/O channels, up to 192 MADI I/O channels and 16 ADAT channels, as well as onboard summing and processing.

In what is certainly great news for all other OEM amplifier companies, Pascal A/S of Copenhagen, Denmark, which recently had decided to compete directly with its former amplifier clients with the launch of Blaze Audio, is now also going to sell speakers, competing directly with what last clients it still had. To push forward with this strategy, Pascal acquired the former WorxAudio IP from Presonus/Fender and hired its veteran team, led by Hugh Sarvis.

New 1" Annular Compression Drivers and Common HF/LF Magnet Coaxials from Lavoce

At ISE 2023, Lavoce Italiana announced the launch of their first 1" exit annular diaphragm design compression drivers, DN10.143 and DF10.143. During the Barcelona show the company also presented their new 6.5" ferrite common HF/LF magnet coaxial, CSF061.71K. In 2022, the company with a 35-year heritage designing and manufacturing loudspeakers reported the highest growth rates since its inception, and 2023 is already looking even stronger.

Outline has been working behind the scenes on a profound company restructuring, which has resulted in the appointment of a new management team. The new organization stems from the retirement of Giorgio Biffi from his role of CEO, which he carried in addition to his Head of Sales function, since the passing of founder Guido Noselli, whom he had joined already in 1976. The Italian pro audio pioneer is also celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2023.
