Having been an integral part of the Fulcrum Acoustic team for over 14 years, Rich Frembes joined as employee number two and has partnered closely alongside David Gunness, Senior VP of Engineering and company co-founder. Throughout his tenure, Frembes has played a significant role in the evolution of Fulcrum Acoustic loudspeaker designs and voicing, contributing his expertise and passion to an abundance of successful projects.
Fulcrum Acoustic has recently made significant investments in its engineering facilities and capabilities. The past year has seen the construction of a new R&D space, measurement lab, and the addition of two talented acoustical engineers, Zuo “Rambo” Zhao and John Geraghty. To strengthen the support structure needed for success, it was necessary to formalize the leadership team.
Stephen Siegel, President of Fulcrum Acoustic, expressed his confidence in Frembes’ promotion, stating, "Rich has been with us from the beginning and has played a pivotal role in creating and enforcing our high standards for design and product quality. As we considered expanding our management capabilities, it was only fitting for Rich to step into this role."
David Gunness emphasized Frembes’ invaluable contributions, remarking, "Rich has been indispensable when it comes to product development, project coordination, and the establishment of quality standards. I have no doubt that he will carry out this unwavering commitment to excellence with our new projects and team members."

More Appointments
Fulcrum Acoustic also announced the appointment of Val Gilbert as the new Director of Business Development for Export. The strategic appointment comes as the company focuses on expanding its global market share. In this newly created role, Gilbert will strengthen Fulcrum Acoustic’s export business and establish new distribution and dealer relationships worldwide.
Gilbert brings a wealth of industry experience to Fulcrum Acoustic. Previously, he served on Allen & Heath’s technical sales and marketing team and in engineering support at Nexo. Both experiences enhance his ability to provide valuable knowledge and support to international customers.
Fulcrum Acoustic at InfoComm 2023
Fulcrum Acoustic is a professional loudspeaker company with multiple proprietary technologies that deliver reliable, easy-to-use, and integrated sound reinforcement systems for any environment. For the first time, the company will promote its latest solutions in a dedicate demo room (W224D) at InfoComm 2023 in Orlando, Florida. The demo room will showcase technology and products from Fulcrum Immersive, Fulcrum Acoustic, and APEX.
Fulcrum Immersive will demonstrate its suite of tools, including digital signal processors, software, and acoustical treatments, that create a comprehensive scalable, spatial audio solution. Fulcrum Acoustic loudspeakers will be utilized, displaying the synergy between Fulcrum Acoustic and Fulcrum Immersive products. The audio will be powered by APEX amplifiers including the new 16 channel CloudPower CP716D.
The presentation will feature a live band to showcase these technologies in real time. The performance will give attendees a firsthand experience of Fulcrum Immersive’s capabilities so they can imagine how to incorporate these tools into their own projects.
