Crysound Launches Next-Gen Acoustic Imaging and Thermal Camera

The popularity of acoustic cameras has exploded over the past three years, as applicability also increased with portable models. Evolving from large models used mainly in research, acoustic cameras are now compact and portable enough to become practical in daily inspection operations. Crysound, the largest audio test and measurement company from China, has now introduced the CRY8120 Series Acoustic Imaging Cameras, a breakthrough in industrial capabilities, also combining a thermal module.

Since its inception, HEAD acoustics' ArtemiS SUITE has been a game changer for structural and acoustic analysis. The modular software platform for measuring and analyzing sound and vibration is a comprehensive solution for product and environmental noise optimization, combining powerful tools that allow users to master tasks with ease. HEAD acoustics now announced release 16, which improves test automation and standard testing routines, among many other enhancements.

HEAD acoustics has overhauled ArtemiS SUITE, its state-of-the-art software platform for sound and vibration, psychoacoustic, and structural dynamics analysis. The new release 15 brings substantial improvements in ease of use, performance, scope of operability, and connectivity. Outstanding features include improved model creation and calculation of transfer functions, export for binaural analysis and synthesis, an updated interface to the Augmented Reality solution from HoloMetrix, and third party hardware and software support.

Designed in collaboration with the Department of Mechanical And Industrial Engineering at the prestigious Brescia University in Lombardy, and engineered in Italy by Outline, the new Globe Source Radiator (GSR) high-power omnidirectional sound source solution provides a vital tool for acoustic analysis. Complemented with the Outline NG01 noise generator that can be controlled with a radio remote control, and the portable Outline L3000 DSP amplifier, the GSR offers a high-SPL solution for acoustics measurements in all environments, including large venues and spaces.

IK Multimedia announced ARC System 3, the third generation of its innovative acoustic correction system that corrects poor room acoustics, improving the audio monitoring accuracy of studios. The solution, which combines an ultra-accurate measurement microphone, room analysis software, and a correction plug-in, is a simple-to-use package that delivers professional results. The 3rd generation offers an all-new 3D room analysis algorithm, easier setup and superior results, plus compatibility with more measurement microphones.

Acoustic Power Lab released a two-channel hardware loudspeaker equalization solution that enables the application of corrective as well as custom FIR filtering for studio monitors, live performance and installed sound systems. Up to 16 user-configured 4096-tap FIR equalization curves generated in conjunction with Acoustic Power Lab’s measurement and analysis software may be stored, recalled and applied by the new APL1s unit.
