TASCAM received the Inter BEE Grand Prix award for the professional audio category, promoted by the Japan Electronics and Information Technology Industries Association (JEITA). This award was presented on the occasion of the 60th Inter BEE trade show that took place November 13-15, at the Makuhari Messe convention center, just outside of Tokyo. TASCAM was recognized for the development of its Sonicview Digital Mixing Consoles range together with the IF-ST2110 SMPTE ST 2110 networking expansion card.

TEAC Corporation of Japan announced the release of the CG-10M-X, a Reference Series Master Clock Generator intended primarily to expand its Reference 500 Series components. A 10MHz master clock generator with a TEAC Reference OCXO (Oven Controlled Crystal Oscillator), the CG-10M-X is equipped with a thermostatic chamber to ensure high oscillation stability, output buffer amplifier circuit, and improved power supply circuit among other refinements.

Tascam announced the re-launch of the original CD-A580 Cassette Recorder/CD Player/USB Flash Drive Recorder, which in 2017 finally replaced the CD-A500MkII, the successor of the original CD-A550. By combining a cassette recorder, CD player and USB flash drive recorder/player into a rack-mountable unit, the CD-A550/580 was designed to be a playback device for installed sound applications.
