Listen Announces SoundCheck 16 Release

Listen announced the release of SoundCheck 16, its flagship audio measurement software. With a consistent schedule of product updates since the original launch in 1995, the new release of SoundCheck includes a bundle of new features that expand its capability and simplify ease of use. A completely re-designed THD+N analysis algorithm is now more accurate and significantly faster than other audio test systems, and is compliant with the AES17 standard.

Following previous sessions on the West Coast, in response to popular demand, Listen and G.R.A.S. Sound & Vibration have announced new headphone testing seminars in Chicago (October 13) and Boston (October 16). The jointly promoted training events allow participants to learn about the latest in headphone test systems and methods from design to EOL Test. There is no charge for this one-day seminar and lunch will be provided, but participants should register asap.

Listen, Inc., announced the release of SoundCheck Version 15. This release for Mac and Windows expands the testing capability of SoundCheck with additional external control, calibration, audio mixing and hardware integration, and introduces the first in the company’s redesigned virtual instruments, the multimeter. Meanwhile, the Boston-based company was awarded a patent for its audio test amplifier, SC Amp.

The 2016 Audio Engineering Society (AES) International Conference on Headphone Technology took place August 24-26, 2016, in Aalborg, Denmark, at the Nordkraft building - an old power station converted into a mix of community and events center near the city's new music center, Musikkens Hus. Approximately 160 registered participants had the opportunity to attend more than 40 paper and keynote presentations, while 20 companies promoted demonstrations. One of the most successful AES international conferences ever!

Produced by Head-Fi.org, CanJam SoCal 2016 showcased over 60 exhibitors in 12,000 sq. ft. of event space, featuring new product introductions and increased attendance.
