During the seminars, industry experts Steve Temme (Listen, Inc.) and Peter Wulf-Andersen (G.R.A.S.), as well as guest speaker Dr. Sean Olive (Harman International) will discuss test equipment (ear couplers, test fixtures, test software and hardware) and demonstrate practical test setups for both R&D and QC headphone testing. The sessions will cover in-ear monitors, Bluetooth, lightning/USB, noise-cancelling and high resolution headphones, in addition to conventional analog headphones. Participants can even measure their own headphone using the equipment available in the hands-on session.

Following these events, Listen will be exhibiting at the AES 143rd international Convention in New York, October 18-20. Listen will be demonstrating their SoundCheck audio test software and the complete range of audio test hardware which includes interfaces for testing all modern devices such as those with Bluetooth, Lightning and other digital interfaces. Listen staff will also be presenting two technical papers. Steve Temme will be presenting "A New THD+N Algorithm for Measuring Today's High Resolution Audio Systems," with Alfred Roney of Mathworks, and Dan Knighten of Listen and Glenn Hess of Indy Acoustic Research will present "Challenges of IoT Smart Speaker Testing." These papers are both in the P17 Applications in Audio session on Sat 21st October.
