Following earlier presentations at several international trade-shows, Celestion announced the Winter NAMM debut of the Axi2050 wideband axiperiodic compression driver, which will be on display with “The Big Red Horn” at the company’s second booth in the Pro Audio Hall (ACC North, Level 2, Booth 18100). This high output single diaphragm driver is able to perform the role of two speakers in one with no crossover required and is one of the latest examples of the type of innovation Celestion is bringing to pro audio market.

Celestion made three of their most iconic speaker Impulse Responses – the Vintage 30, G12M Greenback and Celestion Blue – now available in Two Notes format, for use with the company’s critically acclaimed sound emulation hardware Torpedo (Studio, Live, C.A.B), the speaker and miking simulation engine; and Wall of Sound software environment, which is a DAW plug-in version of the company's Torpedo hardware processor, available in rack format and multiple other configurations.

Test Bench: Celestion CDX1-1742 1” Exit Pro Sound Compression Driver

For this month's Test Bench, Vance Dickason characterizes the CDX1-1742 from legendary UK Pro Sound OEM manufacturer Celestion. This driver joins the CDX family of ferrite motor compression drivers, and is designed for use with 1” throat horns, featuring a FEA-optimized ferrite magnet motor structure, and a proprietary next-generation “Sound Castle” soft diaphragm clamping assembly that reduces diaphragm mechanical stress and distortion. Celestion Expands Ferrite Magnet CF Range with CF1230F and CF1540HD Cast Aluminum LF Drivers

At Prolight+Sound 2018 (April 10-13), Celestion announced two new additions to its CF range of high-quality cast-aluminum, ferrite-magnet drivers for demanding tour sound and fixed install applications. At the Frankfurt show Celestion introduced the 12-inch CF1230F and the 15-inch CF1540HD low frequency woofers, offering further options for manufacturers designing two or three way systems and extended bass response sound reinforcement solutions.
