Celestion is expanding its range of professional audio drivers for sound reinforcement applications with the debut of the 18-inch PowerProX18 subwoofer. The new model features advanced voice coil cooling to boost reliability and reduce power compression, enabling high performance over extended periods of peak delivery, as required in applications including cinema sound, fixed install and touring sound reinforcement. The new PowerProX18 will be on display at NAMM 2023, alongside a range of new key PA products from Celestion.

The Celestion CDX1-1412 Compression Driver is a compact 1" unit intended for professional audio applications, a traditional segment for the UK-based OEM manufacturer. This compression driver features a FEA-optimized neodymium ring magnet motor structure, a nominal power handling of 35W, a 2kHz recommended crossover frequency (with a minimum 12dB/octave high-pass network), and 106dB sensitivity (1W/1m) measured with its own 1" H1-9050 90°x50° constant directivity horn. This is the same speaker manufactured for the German company by Celestion and used in the Kemper Kabinets, now with a new lightweight neodymium magnet. Also available for a wider range of cabinet designs, these speakers were designed for guitar tone monitoring with a choice of 19 classic guitar speaker imprints activated by Kemper Profile PowerRacks and PowerHeads.
