Focusrite Announces RedNet TNX Thunderbolt and Dante Interface

Focusrite announced a new flexible Dante interface that delivers high channel counts, ultra-low latency, and powerful audio workflows to any PC or Mac with an available Thunderbolt connection. The release marks the first new offering in Focusrite’s RedNet range since RedNet PCIeNX in 2023. The new RedNet TNX, however, enables users to pass audio via Dante to and from a computer without having to install a PCIe card.

Founded by a team of developers with experience in audio networking and programming, Sound on Digital recently announced the availability of RavennaKit, a new Software Development Kit (SDK) for implementing audio-over-IP technology into new products.

Danish electronics manufacturer, NTP Technology, is the latest partner to join the Ravenna audio-over-IP community. NTP Technology has been developing high-quality, high-reliability, modular audio routing solutions for over three decades. With its brand DAD (Digital Audio Denmark), NTP provides audio interfaces for music recording, post-production, and live music applications. The announcement made at NAB 2025 follows the recent confirmation by Soundnet, a subsidiary of the Soundking Group, also as a member of the Ravenna community.

In collaboration with Dolby, Powersoft added support for Dolby Atmos Connect AES67 patching into the latest version of its ArmoníaPlus software. The update streamlines the process of connecting its amplifiers to Dolby’s cinema hardware, such as the Dolby Atmos Cinema Processor CP950A or IMS3000, which use AES67 audio-over-Ethernet to send a digital audio stream to external amplifiers.
