Puro Sound Labs Introduces PuroPro Volume-Limiting, Hybrid Active Noise Cancelling Headphones

August 11 2020, 00:25
Puro Sound Labs, the company better know for making volume-limiting headphones for children, now introduced the PuroPro hybrid active noise cancelling headphones into the UK and US market. Like previous products from the brand, the new Bluetooth 5 wireless headphones promote Healthy Ears, protecting adult hearing by limiting the volume to the maximum safe listening level, as recommended by the WHO, OSHA, and various other international organizations.

Established in 2014, Puro Sound Labs is dedicated to fighting the growing epidemic of Noise Induced Hearing Loss by providing healthy, affordable, high-quality listening products. Founder Dave Russell learned that his youngest daughter had developed Noise Induced Hearing Loss with doctors identifying her headphone's excessive volume as the likely cause. Not able to identify a safe alternative to the damaging headphones on the market, Dave set out to create the solution. Puro Sound Labs has since created headphones that put the safety of one's hearing first and the company is committed to building awareness to hearing loss.

The PuroPro is the latest addition to the company's volume-limiting range, featuring a much improved design and studio grade audio quality, providing users with a listening experience that is both high quality and healthy. In keeping with the Puro Sound Labs mission to protect consumers’ hearing, the headphones are volume limited to 85 dB for up to 8 hours per day, and 95 dB for up to 50 mins per day, as recommended by the World Health Organization.

Additionally, the headphones are equipped with 5 microphones, 4 used for ANC, and one for communications, with two adjustable ANC levels ensuring that users can listen to their favorite tracks and podcasts undisturbed, or find their own space in shared environments.

Whilst the headphones are volume limited to the maximum safe listening level, they do not compromise on sound quality, with what the company calls Puro Balanced Response Curve technology, engineered to deliver an improved listening experience with all genres of music. Puro Sound Labs was one of the first companies to recognize and implement a frequency response curve following Harman's research, led by Dr. Sean Olive's team. With this new ANC wireless headphone model, Puro Sound Labs had to adapt the frequency response to the variable isolation levels and at lower, safer listening levels.

Designed with both comfort and style in mind, the PuroPro headphones boast a lightweight construction that is also durable, featuring a supple protein leather headband and ear cushions, guaranteeing a comfortable listening experience at home or on the go. The 40mm dynamic drivers combined with the Puro Balanced Response Curve offers full, dynamic bass all within the 85dB and 95dB volume limits.

As Puro Sound Labs explains, these new Bluetooth 5 headphones are designed not only to be used at home or work, but also for the commute to work, long journeys or trips away, offering a foldable design and matching hard cover carrying case that is ideal for travel, with long lasting batteries that provide up to 28 hours playtime with ANC, 32 hours without and 300 hours of standby time.

The Puro Pro headphones are nicely packaged using environmentally friendly materials and are currently available on Amazon for $199.99.
