The Monolith M1000ANC headphones are based on a BES2300Y Bluetooth 5 chipset, allowing the design to benefit from higher data transfer rates and lower power consumption to deliver a robust listening experience, solid connection and increased battery life. Unfortunately, Monoprice decided to just support Bluetooth SBC and leave out AAC codec support (which the Bestechnic chipset supports), directly excluding the headphones from becoming a recommendable option for iPhone users.
To offset that unfortunate design decision, the Active Noise Cancellation implementation in the Monolith M1000ANC headphones, featuring Hybrid ANC technology and allowing up to 35dB of noise reduction, should make these headphones a great option for budget-conscious Android smartphone users - as long as they have a recent Bluetooth 5 capable device. Environmental noises are suppressed so that listeners can hear every nuance of their music. By placing a hand over the earcup, ambient mode activates, letting outside noise in so listeners can hear conversations and their surroundings.
Users will enjoy up to 60 hours of music playback time on a single charge without any interruptions, with up to 40 hours if they keep ANC active. A quick charge of just 5-minutes with any USB-Type C charging cable provides up to two hours of playback. And those Android users will also enjoy a better calling experience even in the busiest areas since the M1000ANC headphones also feature Qualcomm Echo Cancelling and Noise Suppression technology. Touch controls allow users to answer, decline, or end their calls.
