Eastech is one of the largest loudspeaker manufacturers in the world, with headquarters in Taipei, Taiwan, and subsidiaries in Denmark, Singapore, and China. The goal for this collaboration between Newauro and Eastech is to give smart speakers the ability to recreate any signal in up to 7.1.4 channels of virtual spatial audio using Newauro's integrated solution that was introduced originally at CES 2023.
AURO-Scene speaker virtualization technology was engineered to support soundbars, including support for configurable satellite speakers, but this collaboration with Eastech takes the concept further to enable immersive configurations that are able to explore smart speakers independently of its position in a room.
The AURO-Scene solutions is provided as a single, integrated component that includes the Auro-Codec decoder, an immersive sound upmixer and virtualization technologies based on the Auro-Scene algorithm. In a first-of-a-kind demonstration, Newauro and Eastech will showcase the possibilities for smart speakers.

The reference Eastech smart speakers are able to create immersive sound from any signal via AURO-Scene, but they can also decode AURO-CX, Newauro’s new next-generation, scalable audio codec designed for streaming - thanks to the integration of the AURO-3D engine. AURO-CX delivers scalable quality, channel count, sample rate, and objects, all in one powerful bitstream.
