These additions to the vast industrial resources of the Chinese group of companies, allow it to expand its presence in consumer, high-end, and professional audio, as well as automotive, gaming, and mobile markets.
According to the company’s announcement, this investment in Gryphon Audio Designs was essentially a strategic move to reinforce Goer Dynamics’ activities in China’s booming ultra-high-end audio market. “Goer Dynamics, a global leader in acoustic systems and premium audio entertainment solutions, is excited to announce the acquisition of a minority stake in Danish company Gryphon Audio Designs, the company behind Gryphon— one of the most exclusive and respected names in the high-end Home Audio market. As part of the investment, Goer Dynamics will become the exclusive distributor of Gryphon products in Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macau. Another key driver of this collaboration is the opportunity to explore Gryphon’s entry into the automotive sector.

Detailing the automotive opportunities, Gryphon shares that both companies have agreed “on ambitious plans to enter the automotive industry.” Gryphon Audio Designs will continue under the same management, with no changes to daily operations.
Founded in 1985, Gryphon Audio Designs is the brainchild of Flemming E. Rasmussen and the fulfillment of a lifelong dream to allow the purest essence of the live music experience to be recreated in the home environment. Rasmussen was the founder of 2R Marketing, one of Denmark’s leading High End audio import companies, where a group of designers developed a moving coil preamplifier for their own use. This project would evolve to become the Gryphon Head Amp, shown at the 1986 Consumer Electronics Show in Chicago, where a respected Japanese distributor expressed strong interest.
