German high end manufacturer T+A elektroakustik announced that industry veteran David Nauber has joined T+A's extended executive team as Chief Executive Officer of T+A North America, its independent North American distribution arm. T+A North America’s owner Conradin Amft will continue leading the Board of Directors while also focusing increased energy on his expanding role as COO at T+A Germany.
T+A stands for “Theory and Application” in all areas of audio technology. Founded in 1978 and located in Herford, Germany, T+A elektroakustik creates, refines and produces Hi-Fi components of the highest possible quality, from audio systems and loudspeakers to accessories. All T+A products are designed and manufactured in Germany, and are renowned for extremely long product cycles, exceptional service life and extensive upgrade facilities.
The company is now determined to expand its market with the recent introduction of the 200 Series of components and the company's first headphones at the recent 2022 High End show in Munich. T+A also announced the PSD 3100 HV Pre-amplifier-Streaming-DAC, offering an array of professional digital inputs, FM, FM-HD, DAB+ radio, Bluetooth and Connect services, and streaming for local and global Internet and network sources.
Set up in August 2021, T+A North America can already look back at a phenomenally successful first year in business. "Senior Vice President David Schultz and the Inside Sales Team member Elliott Schultz did an amazing job establishing T+A with customers and dealers over the past year. Now came a time for choosing the right path forward to ensure not only short term but long-time success for the entire team," says Conradin Amft.
"Taking the next steps by bringing on Dave Nauber was the obvious choice. Dave’s decades-long experience in sales, organizational development, and leadership prepares our organization for an exciting future”, continues Amft.
With his new appointment as T+A North America’s CEO, Nauber continues a career which included sales, marketing and leadership roles with some of the audio industry’s most respected brands, including Madrigal Audio Labs and Classé Audio, and more recently with Bowers and Wilkins and Sound United. He holds a BS in General Engineering with an Electrical Engineering Secondary field from the University of Illinois. In his new role, Nauber will focus on solidifying T+A’s growth in North America by continuing to develop customer relations, organizational structure, and staff.
Nauber joins the existing team led by Senior Vice President of Sales Operations David Schultz, based in Saint Marys, GA. "The future of T+A North America is more robust than ever. This is a first step to ensure continued growth and development with the addition of a very experienced and capable individual,” adds David Schultz.
On the occasion of his appointment to CEO, Nauber said: "It has been my good fortune to have worked with smart, passionate and serious people throughout my career, which makes this opportunity to join the legendary German brand so desirable. The range is extraordinary, with superb components in every category, which will make it of interest to any dealer who offers premium performance and quality, and wants to show something new."
"I am excited to play a part in expanding T+A in the North American market, continuing to build on the excellent work David, Elliott and others have already done," Nauber continued.
