About Tom James
Loudspeaker industry veteran Tom James worked for over 30 years in both loudspeaker development and business development positions, establishing a wide network of contacts with manufacturers and OEMs in the United States and around the world. After earning his BSEET with Audio Elective degree from Western Kentucky University in 1985, he provided engineering solutions for countless products and projects, having worked as a transducer/applications engineer and project manager with Panasonic, Eastech and Eminence Speaker. For three years he worked as Senior Engineer Applications and Design for MISCO, where he was instrumental in launching the Bold North Audio brand, which expanded the Minneapolis speaker company in the high-end audio and studio monitor markets. From 2019 to 2024, Tom James worked with Lavoce Italiana as Business Development Manager for The Americas. Since May 2024, he returned to Eminence Speaker as Senior Engineer, Design and Manufacturing in Eminence, Kentucky.
