JBL Professional Debuts the JBL VTX A6 Line Array Element and B15 Compact Subwoofer

Harman Professional Solutions introduced the newest members of JBL Professional’s flagship VTX line array series, the VTX A6 subcompact dual 6.5-inch passive line array element and the B15 compact, arrayable 15-inch subwoofer. The A6 and B15 bring JBL’s top acoustic technologies to compact form factors for small- to medium-size touring and fixed installations, providing versatile solutions for production companies, touring acts, rental houses, theaters, houses of worship and any space-critical applications.

ATC, the British manufacturer founded in 1974 by Billy Woodman to manufacture custom drive units for the professional sound industry, continues to expand on its proven philosophy of developing loudspeaker systems from component level. ATC now announced the availability the new high-performance 12" SCS70 Pro active subwoofer, featuring a new sub-bass driver, developed by ATC’s R&D team, and optimized for reproduction of the lowest four octaves of the audio band. There's also the SCS70iW Pro model, optimized for flush/in-wall mounting.

Monolith, the high-end audio brand from e-commerce specialist Monoprice, announced the addition of two new in-wall home theater speaker solutions that have been THX Certified for the highest level of accuracy and impact. The budget friendly brand continues to expand its range of THX Certified home theater solutions, now adding THX Certified Select and THX Certified Ultra in-wall speakers to complement the in‑room and subwoofer designs already available.

Snap One announced the launch of the Triad PDX Series of architectural speakers. The new series is intended to provide integrators with a solution that pairs the premium audio performance that Triad is known for with a simplified installation experience made possible by Push Lock by Swarm technology. Reinforcing a growing trend on a new form-factor, Creative Technology launched a new under-monitor soundbar designed to give users a filling audio experience, intended for nearfield listening. The new Creative Stage Air V2 is actually a redesign of an existing model (Stage Air) that Creative says sold well, now with improved connectivity options, which include USB-C, Bluetooth 5.3. The minimalistic design fits snuggly under the monitor, but is also battery powered, being compact enough to be carried around the house.

SoundTube, an MSE Audio brand and creator of the original Pendant Speaker, announced the release of the SM1001 Surface-Mount Subwoofer, a versatile 10” subwoofer that uses a downward-firing passive radiator and is ideal for rapid installation in retail environments and restaurants. The new subwoofer design comes with surface mount and corner mount brackets, allowing the cabinet to stay detached from the floor, or even positioned from a ceiling corner.

To commemorate five decades of loudspeaker manufacturing, Canadian brand PSB Speaker has designed the Passif 50 Standmount Loudspeaker Anniversary Edition. The design and technologies of the Passif 50 model leverage five decades of dedicated research and pay homage to the early Passif II model first released in 1974. The Passif 50 will be available to pre-order online the first of August with shipping this September.
