Unmute the World With Auracast Broadcast Audio

Following the publication of the full set of LE Audio specifications by the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG), the industry is now putting together the building blocks that will enabling bringing products supporting the next generation of Bluetooth audio to market. This article explains what is needed and how to support Auracast broadcast audio, a new Bluetooth capability that enables an audio transmitter to broadcast to an unlimited number of nearby Bluetooth audio receivers.

CEVA announced Bluebud-HD, a pre-configured software package for its Bluebud wireless audio platform that includes all the audio, voice and context-aware software required in premium TWS earbuds, gaming headsets, hearables, and other smart audio products. The company also updated its SenslinQ software framework and DSP tool kit for Bluebud that streamlines software migration from other processor architectures to the CEVA-BX1 DSP and virtualizes DSP programming for application developers.

CEVA and Mimi Hearing Technologies have announced a partnership to enable new assistive hearing capabilities in consumer true wireless earbuds. The collaboration combines Mimi Sound Personalization technology and advanced hearing IP with CEVA's Bluebud wireless audio platform to enhance the hearing experience of every individual. With its flexible architecture, the Bluebud platform allows a high level of software customization and add-ons, supporting such advanced implementations.

CEVA unveiled Bluebud, a highly-integrated wireless audio platform aimed at standardizing DSP-enabled Bluetooth audio IP for fast-growing applications, including True Wireless Stereo (TWS) earbuds, hearables, gaming headsets, smartwatches and other wearable devices. The solution fully supports Bluetooth 5.2 and LE Audio design and is ready to support brands in the transition from Bluetooth Classic.
