KRK Systems Launches Audio Tools App for Studio Monitor Setup

KRK Systems, (still) part of the Gibson family of brands, introduced its new KRK Audio Tools App for iOS and Android. The free suite of professional studio tools includes five useful and professional analysis-based components that work with any monitor setup, and one powerful tool (EQ Recommendation) that helps acclimate the new KRK ROKIT G4 monitors to their individual acoustic environment.

When I review speakers, I make a point of doing my continuous (20-second) averaging room/power curves (moving a microphone slowly over a 1 x 1 x 5’ area at head level at the listening couch) with an AudioControl SA-3051 RTA. Usually we think of noise as a signal to be eliminated, or at least reduced, in any audio system.
