SPARK Microsystems Showcases Major Advancements in UWB Wireless Connectivity for Audio at CES 2025

SPARK Microsystems, the Canadian company specializing in next-generation ultra-wideband (UWB) wireless communications, will attend CES 2025 to showcase the latest breakthrough advancements in wireless connectivity for speakers and headphones. Visitors to SPARK's Palazzo Las Vegas suite can preview the myriad ways SPARK UWB technology is evolving wireless audio, gaming, and other connected devices, including for medical applications.

Specialist wireless audio ODM Shenzen Skylark Audio Industrial Co (Skylark) has signed a partnership agreement with antenna company AntennaWare to develop a next-generation UWB headset that promises to deliver significant improvements to the user experience. Incorporating AntennaWare’s new BodyWave UWB antenna, Skylark’s reference design was showcased at the IBC 2023 tradeshow in Amsterdam.

Virscient, a company specializing in wireless connectivity and audio technologies, announced the release of LiveOnAir – a technology that enables ultra-low-latency audio over low power wireless links. According to the New Zealand-based company, LiveOnAir changes the game for key applications in gaming, in live performance - including digital wireless microphones and in-ear monitors - and other audio application scenarios requiring tight synchronization.

Antennaware Ltd, a company that specializes in solving the body blocking problems normally associated with close range RF designs, has launched a new addition to its Bodywave antenna range that specifically targets the Ultra-Wideband (UWB) radio market. The company's latest antenna is specifically designed to elevate wearable performance by extending range and drastically reducing drop out.
