Ambiq introduced the Neural Network Speech Enhancer (NNSE), the latest addition to its neuralSPOT's Model Zoo - a highly optimized AI model that effectively removes background noise from speech on the device in real-time, allowing clean speech capture in noisy environments. As with all Ambiq Model Zoo components, NNSE includes scripts and tools to help developers add speech de-noising capabilities to their applications.

At the Embedded World Exhibition that took place in Nuremberg, Germany, Nordic offered demonstrations of its new nRF5340 Audio Development Kit (DK), a design platform for rapid development of LE Audio products, and the Nordic Thingy:53 a rapid prototyping solution, both based on Nordic’s nRF5340 SoC.

CEVA announced that its CEVA-BX DSP cores and WhisPro speech recognition software now also support TensorFlow Lite for Microcontrollers, a production ready, cross-platform framework for deploying tiny machine learning on power-efficient processors in edge devices. WhisPro is CEVA's speech recognition software for voice wake words and custom command models. TensorFlow Lite for Microcontrollers is a solution from Google for implementing machine learning at the edge, already optimized and available for CEVA-BX DSP cores.
