Stellantis Creates New Immersive Audio Reference Lab in Partnership with Genelec

Stellantis has recently opened its own state-of-the-art Dolby Atmos 9.1.6 qualified immersive audio lab in Bengaluru, powered by Genelec Smart Active Monitors. The automotive giant created this room, unique in India among automotive OEMs, not only for content production, but also to use as an audio reference and quality assurance. The Dolby Atmos room, equipped with Genelec The Ones studio monitors, plays a key role in Stellantis' initiatives in terms of audio strategies.

SoundHound AI, one of the pioneers on speech-to-meaning voice interfaces continues to double down on its use of Generative AI to expand the possibilities of its voice assistants in automotive environments. The Silicon Valley company just confirmed that its SoundHound Chat AI voice assistant with integrated ChatGPT will be live in Alfa Romeo and Citroën vehicles across multiple European markets, adding to previous announcements with other Stellantis' brands.

SoundHound AI, a pioneer in voice artificial intelligence, announced that it has partnered with Perplexity, the conversational AI-powered answer engine. Together the two companies plan to bring Perplexity’s online Large Language Models (LLM) capabilities to SoundHound Chat AI – a new generation of voice assistant that utilizes hundreds of real-time domains, as well as generative AI responses.

SoundHound AI announced the delivery of its advanced voice AI technology, including its Edge+Cloud connectivity solution, multiple language abilities, and custom wake words, to Stellantis' most popular former PSA vehicles and former FCA B-SUV segment vehicles in Europe. SoundHound’s Voice AI is currently powering enhanced in-car experiences with Edge+Cloud technology in multiple models already in the market.
