Austrian Audio Releases Two Studio-Quality Stage Microphones

Austrian Audio announced two new microphones that expand the company's product catalog into the stage. The new OD505 Active Dynamic and OC707 Handheld Condenser bring a studio-quality experience and technology to new handheld vocal microphones that are designed for live performance. Both models use capsules that are handmade in Austrian Audio’s facilities in Vienna, with a design that minimizes the contact between the capsule and the enclosure.

To mark Neumann.Berlin’s 90th company anniversary, Sennheiser and Neumann have unveiled a very special promotional bundle that combines a Sennheiser evolution wireless 500 G4 microphone system with the Neumann KK 205 true condenser capsule. This special edition vocal set makes the acclaimed Neumann sound available to a much wider audience – as until now, Neumann microphone heads had been reserved for Sennheiser’s 2000, 6000 and 9000 wireless series.

Ear Trumpet Labs announced Josephine, the newest addition to their product line of microphones handcrafted in Portland, OR. Coming May 2016, this medium-large diaphragm (26mm) cardioid condenser microphone, Josephine, is designed for live vocal and ensemble use, with an avant-garde styling evocative of 1930s and 40s classic microphones.
