ReadSpeaker VoiceLab Powers Sonos Voice Control Custom Voice

ReadSpeaker, the Boston-based independent digital voice specialist, announced that Sonos has selected the ReadSpeaker VoiceLab to create the custom voice for Sonos Voice Control, the brand’s voice assistant that was just recently announced and will be available in June 2022. Sonos selected VoiceLab, ReadSpeaker’s custom voice production unit because of the company’s proven experience and expertise in state-of-the-art, AI-driven text-to-speech.

Following availability in Japan, Yamaha Unified Communications announced that its all-new VSP-2 Speech Privacy System is in stock and available for immediate shipping to the United States and Canada. The VSP-CU2 control unit features user-selectable sound types and volume levels and it supports two, four, or eight VSP-SP2 speakers. The unique sound masking system can be installed quickly into any space to ensure conversations are kept confidential.

Leveraging Yamaha's research and expertise in audio systems for corporate environments, with extensive practical testing in Japan, Yamaha introduced the new VSP-2 Speech Privacy System. This ready to deploy system, supports productive and confidential conferences and meetings in the office with a compact, high-performance, and customizable solution that comfortably masks conversation and can be easily integrated into existing facilities.

Emmis Communications Corporation announced the acquisition of the sound masking business of Lencore Acoustics Corporation, a leading manufacturer in high-quality sound masking solutions for offices and other commercial applications. Based in Long Island (Woodbury), New York, Lencore has 33 employees who will become Emmis employees, including the sound masking business' leadership team. The offices will remain in Long Island New York.
