Celestion Debuts Production-Ready Axi2050 Axiperiodic Driver at Prolight+Sound 2017

Following a preview presentation a year ago, at this year’s Prolight+Sound show, Celestion introduced the production-ready Axi2050 wideband axiperiodic driver. Performing the role of two speakers in one, the Axi2050 is a high power, high-output driver which reproduces a frequency range of 300Hz-20,000Hz without the need for a midband crossover. Being just one example of the type of innovation Celestion is bringing to market, the new Axi2050 wideband axiperiodic driver promises to shake things up in the pro audio sector.

As a result of a new distribution agreement, Peerless by Tymphany’s high-end drivers are now available globally through global electronic components distributor Digi-Key Electronics. Since 2005, Tymphany has manufactured drivers under the Peerless, Vifa, and Tymphany brands. Recently all these brands were unified under a single brand name: Peerless by Tymphany.

Austrian high performance sensors and analog ICs specialist, ams AG launched the AS3412, a compact, cost-effective speaker driver which promises to bring the benefits of Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) for the first time to mass-market headsets. The new AS3412 noise cancellation platform is ideal for use in the low-cost headphones and bundled head-sets supplied with smartphones.
