Biamp Launches Parlé Audio and Videoconference Soundbars

Biamp announced the launch of its Parlé audio and video conferencing bars, a line of professional-grade audiovisual conferencing soundbars, designed to be complete solutions for small to medium-sized rooms. The conferencing bars combine Beamtracking microphones, smart loudspeakers, advanced signal processing, an optional 4K camera with auto-framing, and Biamp Launch, the company's automated deployment and tuning technology, into one plug-and-play speaker bar that delivers a premium conferencing experience.

With LG aiming for its new 2021 soundbar range to deliver an even more premium audio experience, with easy connectivity, smart functionality and stylish aesthetics to complement its TV range, Meridian Audio’s engineers worked closely with the LG team to ensure that the implementation of its proprietary audio processing technologies and custom tuning deliver superior sound quality in their product class.

Sonos introduced Sonos Roam, an ultra-portable Bluetooth speaker built to deliver the best possible sound for its size, both at home and outdoors with adaptable features. It can be fully connected to Sonos system on Wi-Fi at home and automatically switching to Bluetooth when the user is on the go. As Sonos highlights, the Roam was designed to be effortless to set-up and control, using new smart features that make it easier to enjoy music and more from anywhere. Roam is available starting April 20 for $169.

Waves confirmed that its MaxxAudio Sound enhancement technology is now available on the newest Knowles AISonic Audio Edge Processor, the IA8201. The joint solution makes it easy for design engineers to integrate studio-quality sound into consumer electronics products. Knowles joins an expanding list of chip partners for Waves, supporting developers working to enhance sound on mobile devices, premium smartphones and smart peripherals featuring augmented reality (AR) and gaming.

Swedish sound pioneer Dirac and NXP Semiconductors announced a collaboration to combine one of the world’s most powerful audio chipsets with a market-leading digital audio platform. By equipping the NXP i.MX 8M family of chipsets with Dirac’s digital audio platform, OEMs can enable their devices with maximized, immersive, and adaptive sound across their complete range of products. The strategic partnership announcement was made at CES 2020.
