New Triad SA1 Streaming Amplifier with Control4 Integration

In line with the trend for a new generation of audio components that blend the modern convenience of streaming with hifi performance and smart home integration, Triad announced the immediate availability of its Triad SA1 Streaming Amplifier. The Ryff-enabled Triad SA1 builds on the success of the Triad One by adding HDMI ARC/eARC capability, new DSP features, OvrC (cloud service) compatibility and convenient user controls.

Resideo Technologies, a manufacturer and distributor of security and audiovisual products and solutions, and Snap One Holdings Corp., the agglomerate company that acquired Control4 and offers all types of products and services to professional integrators, have announced a definitive agreement for Resideo to acquire Snap One for $10.75 per share in cash and a transaction value of approximately $1.4 billion, inclusive of net debt. Upon closing, Snap One will integrate into Resideo's ADI Global Distribution business.

Snap One - the company that resulted from the acquisition and merger of SnapAV with Control4 and owns Triad speakers - refreshed its home theater speaker line with new materials and capabilities. An expanded family of Episode Home Theater speakers is now available, with a unified range of high-performance drivers designed to deliver cinematic sound and support the latest object-based surround sound technologies.

Snap One announced the launch of the Triad PDX Series of architectural speakers. The new series is intended to provide integrators with a solution that pairs the premium audio performance that Triad is known for with a simplified installation experience made possible by Push Lock by Swarm technology. These will also be the first Triad speakers launched into local stores and made available globally.

McIntosh announced that its MX100 AV Processor has implemented Simple Device Discovery Protocol (SDDP) and has received "Connects with Control4" Certification from Control4, the smart home brand from Snap One. This certification confirms the seamless integration into custom install and smart home systems powered by Control4's smart home operating system (OS) that connects virtually all of the technology in a home. With Control4 Smart Home OS 3, users can control nearly every device and system in the house, including their McIntosh-equipped home theater.
