Pico Technology Extends Range of PC-Based Mixed Signal Oscilloscopes

Pico Technology announced the further development of its PicoScope 6000E Series oscilloscopes with the launch of three new 4-channel models, each of which can be configured with 16 optional digital channels. With bandwidths of 300 or 500 MHz, 8-bit or 8/10/12-bit Flexible Resolution and up to 4 GS deep capture memory, these products enhance the existing PicoScope 6000E portfolio, adding to the 8-channel models that were introduced earlier in the year.

The Rohde & Schwarz CMW platform of Bluetooth testers already support the new Bluetooth Low Energy (LE) version 5.2 power control test routines. At the moment of release, these are the only T&M instruments that measure all specified RF tests up to Bluetooth LE 5.0 over the air, and are ready to support also the new LE Audio specification. This unique solution has already been submitted to the Bluetooth SIG for the specification of a new Bluetooth LE test mode.

Sound Quality of Audio Systems: Modeling, Measurement & Control, is the title for the 2020 edition of the lecture presented by Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Klippel. Already an annual tradition, this three-day event combines both theory and practice, and will take place March 9-11, 2020, at the Technical University Dresden, in Germany. Registrations for the lecture are now open for a fee for general admission, and are free for students.

Nanusens Nano-Sensor Technology Allows True Wireless Earbud Manufacturers to Increase Battery Life by up to 20%

Nanusens, a research venture working on nano-sensors built inside CMOS devices, has announced that its proprietary technology can significantly increase the operational life of earbuds by up to 20%. This can be achieved by replacing the MEMS sensors in an earbud with a single multi-sensor chip solution that is up to ten times smaller, freeing up space for larger batteries. The company will be announcing this technology solution at MWC 2019 in Barcelona, Spain.
