Automated Processes Inc. Introduces New API Select Range of Products

Targeting project studios and musicians, Automated Processes Inc., unveiled a new line of professional audio equipment, called API Select. Still designed, built and tested at the API factory in Jessup Maryland, the new API Select range is specifically engineered to complement API's classic mix of microphone preamplifiers, equalizers and compressors, and adds some tube-based designs and guitar-pedal form-factors, which are new to the brand.

Hammond Manufacturing has introduced 4U high versions and added extended 559mm depths to all heights of its RM family of 1U - 4U 19 inch rack mounting and desktop enclosures. 1U to 3U half-width versions are also available. The all-aluminum construction consists of a heavy-duty extruded frame with removable vented or plain top and bottom covers. 19 inch units are supplied with rack mounting angles; both 19 inch and half width variants come complete with self-adhesive rubber feet for when the enclosure is to be used as a desktop unit.

With the continuous evolution in digital mixers and audio networking technology, live sound is embracing more compact and affordable concepts, such as rack-mount formats, which can be controlled from computers and tablets. The concept is ideal for fixed installs in small venues or to be used on stage by musicians. Yamaha now announced the new TF-RACK, expanding its affordable range of TF series mixing consoles with this more flexible and convenient rack-mount format.

Now available, the Palmer MACHT 402 is a powerful 19” stereo power amplifier that has been designed specifically for use with guitars. It provides 200 watts of power per channel (4 ohms) and 400 watts bridged (8 ohms) and works with virtually any guitar cabinet. This high-performance unit with class D design for guitar preamps is suitable for small amplifiers, modelers and even effects pedals.

The new Allen & Heath Qu-Pac, introduced at the 2015 NAMM Show and available from March 2015, is an ultra-compact 38 in / 28 out rack-mountable digital mixer with built-in touchscreen and iPad control. Qu-Pac basically takes the power and quality of the brand’s Qu mixers and shrinks it into an uber-compact desk or rack mount format, allowing to mix either from an iPad or on the built-in touchscreen.
