Consumer Technology Association CES 2022 Innovation Awards Audio Highlights

The Consumer Technology Association (CTA) announced the CES 2022 Innovation Awards honorees, including those recognized as Best of Innovation honorees. The CES Innovation Awards is an annual initiative honoring outstanding design and engineering in consumer technology products across 27 product categories. The NFC Forum latest Wireless Charging Technical Specification 2.0 allows for wireless charging by enabling a single antenna in an NFC-enabled device to manage both communications between the devices and charging. Users who need to charge low-power devices such as wireless earbuds, digital stylus pens, fitness trackers, and other small consumer products can now do so from NFC-enabled smartphones and other devices, just by placing both devices directly in contact.

Renesas Electronics, a premier supplier of advanced semiconductor solutions, and Panthronics AG, a fabless semiconductor company from Austria, specializing in high performance wireless products, jointly announced they are collaborating to bring best-in-class solutions combining Renesas wireless charging technology and Panthronics NFC technology. Combining Qi wireless chargers with NFC will create superior solutions for consumer and industrial applications.
