Artilux Offers USB4-Over-Fiber IC Solution for Longer Data Transfers

Artilux, a pioneer in GeSi (Germanium Silicon) photonic technology as well as CMOS-based SWIR sensing, imaging and optical communication technology, announced the launch of a mass-production-ready USB4 active-optical-cable IC solution. Compatible with Thunderbolt, DisplayPort, USB4/3 with data-transmission, audio-video display, and charging capabilities, the solution enables cheaper, longer data transfers.

Corning announced its Thunderbolt Optical Cables are now available in the European market in cable lengths spanning 5.5, 10, 30 and an unprecedented 60 meters. In Germany the Thunderbolt cables are now available in the Apple Store. The price of the 10-meter cable is € 299.95 UVP, the 30-meter cable € 659.00 UVP and the 60-meter cable € 1299.00 UVP.
